How to order a passport translation in Tashkent without spelling mistakes: required pages, transliteration, certification, scans, and final checks.
Passport translation is a small job where a one-letter error can create a large problem. The translation may be used for immigration, marriage registration, banking, study, employment, a power of attorney, or another formal process, so names, dates, passport numbers, and machine-readable lines must be handled consistently.
First ask which pages are required
Some recipients need only the identity page; others also request registration, visa, residence, amendment, or stamp pages. Do not assume. Send the recipient’s checklist and a scan of every potentially relevant page so the scope can be confirmed before pricing.
Name spelling and transliteration
Provide the exact Latin spelling that the receiving authority expects. If the person has an existing visa, residence card, diploma, marriage certificate, or previous accepted translation, send it as a reference. Consistency across the document set is usually more useful than inventing a new spelling.
- Check surname, given names, patronymic, and previous names
- Compare day, month, and year in every document
- Verify passport number, issuing authority, and issue/expiry dates
- Flag handwritten or faint stamps instead of guessing
- Tell the translator how the name appears in the destination-country file
Does the passport translation need notarization?

An apostille is a different procedure. Uzbek government guidance states that an apostille is not placed on an Uzbek citizen’s passport or ID card itself. This does not remove the possible need for a translation or another form of certification.
Photo and scan requirements
- Place the open passport on a flat surface.
- Use natural, even light and switch off flash if it creates glare.
- Keep all four corners and the full machine-readable zone visible.
- Send the original image rather than a compressed messenger screenshot.
- Review the draft against the passport before certification.

Can you translate from a phone photo?
A sharp, complete photo is usually enough to quote and start preparation. The chosen certification process may require the physical original later.
Should stamps and handwritten notes be translated?
If they are visible and relevant, they should be represented. Unreadable areas should be marked as such, not silently omitted or guessed.
