Diploma Translation for Recognition in Uzbekistan

A step-by-step guide to translating a foreign diploma and transcript for recognition in Uzbekistan, based on the current official public-service requirements.

Tashkent

If you earned an education credential abroad and need to use it in Uzbekistan, translation is one part of the recognition process. The diploma, its academic attachment or transcript, names, qualification, field of study, dates, grades, credits, seals, and notes must be represented consistently.

This guide covers recognition of a foreign education document in Uzbekistan. Preparing an Uzbek diploma for study or work abroad is a different workflow and follows the destination institution’s rules.

Current official requirements

The Unified Public Services Portal recognition service describes recognition and nostrification of education documents obtained abroad. The Russian and Uzbek versions currently list the foreign education document and attachment, together with a notarized copy translated into Uzbekistan’s state language. The portal lists a ten-working-day service period, after which the applicant is notified of the expert commission’s conclusion.

Portal wording, fees, exemptions, testing, and procedures may change. Check the service page before submission and follow any case-specific message from the responsible agency.

What to include in the translation set

  • Diploma, certificate, or degree document — front and back
  • Transcript, diploma supplement, or academic attachment
  • All stamps, seals, registration numbers, handwritten notes, and QR references
  • Passport spelling of the holder’s name
  • Any earlier education document requested for the same application
  • The authority’s written request if your case has additional requirements

Terminology matters

Degree names and fields of study should not be casually converted into a different local qualification. A good translation preserves the source meaning and, where useful, provides a clear equivalent without claiming official equivalence. Only the competent authority decides recognition.

Course titles, grades, hours, and credits also require consistency. Send a complete, readable attachment so repeated terms can be translated the same way across every page.

Recommended workflow

  1. Open the current official service and confirm that your qualification is in scope.
  2. Prepare complete color scans of the diploma and every attachment.
  3. Provide the passport spelling and note any name change.
  4. Order translation into the required state language and the required notarization.
  5. Review names, institution, qualification, dates, grades, and page order.
  6. Submit through the official channel and respond to agency requests.

Common reasons to redo a translation

Applicants often omit the transcript, use inconsistent names, send cropped stamps, or translate only selected courses. Another error is confusing apostille with recognition: an apostille authenticates specified formal elements, while recognition evaluates the education credential for the relevant purpose.

Prepare your diploma package

Send the diploma, attachment, passport spelling, and purpose through the translation request form. Profy Translations can quote the translation and notarization work; application approval remains with the responsible state authority.
